We’ve had this place for 7 years now.  It’s tucked away in a lovely, quiet and traditional Andalusian village with stunning countryside all around.

We've put this site together for friends and family (who might fancy a visit). It's not a rental brochure, just our way of sharing a place we love. Have a look around, see what you think.

Our Andalusian Home in Jayena

Welcome to our place in Jayena, a proper home from home tucked away in the heart of the stunning Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama Natural Park. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful getaway, with brilliant countryside on your doorstep, the lovely coast not far away, and historic Granada just a short drive.

Being a traditional Andalusian village, it’s a great base for exploring. You're only about an hour and a half from Malaga Airport, 40 minutes from the incredible city of Granada, an hour from the beaches at Nerja, and just 75 minutes from the Sierra Nevada ski slopes if you fancy it!

Come on in – A place to relax and have some fun

Inside, you’ll find a comfy living room with a cosy wood-burning stove, perfect for relaxing on cooler evenings. It has two bedrooms and a third one in a garden room, plus a brilliant games room with a pool table and a TV. There's plenty of space to spread out and relax, making it ideal for families or a few friends.

We have 3 very different outdoor spaces, a  little internal courtyard is a lovely shady spot, we have recently built a modern garden space, or you can head up to the first-floor terrace to soak up the Andalusian sun. On a clear night, the stargazing is absolutely amazing.

Properly Andalusian, Properly Comfy

Like all the local houses, its traditional designs allow it to stay cool in the summer and warm in the winter, thanks to the 30cm thick walls. Downstairs, there’s a fully kitted-out kitchen with an electric cooker, fridge, and a washing machine, plus a handy little bathroom.
